Throughout our extensive history serving Southern California Hispanics, La Opinión has been synonymous with quality journalism and commitment to community.
La Opinión created the Mujeres Destacadas / Exceptional Women’s Premier Editorial Series and Event in 2007, to fulfill its commitment in recognizing and celebrating the diverse accomplishments and contributions of Latinas in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. This premier event is celebrated throughout International Women’s History Month in March.
During this time, La Opinión recognizes Latinas that have distinguished themselves through outstanding service in the fields of Health, Education, Arts & Culture, Business/ Technology and Community Leadership on a volunteer or professional level.
