A Hispanic Job Seeker will use the same criteria when searching for a job as any other person, except that he or she may have unique skills. More often than not this includes the ability to speak, read and/or write in Spanish. If this is the case, the "Keywords" box can be very useful in narrowing the search to specific jobs that require or prefer bilingual Spanish candidates. The most useful search terms for Hispanic professionals or Latino professionals that want to leverage their language skills are the following:
- Spanish
- Bilingual
- Bilingual Spanish
- Hispanic (usually a marketing term)
- Latino (also a common marketing term)
When these keywords are combined with functions - e.g., financial analyst or marketing associate - or industries - e.g., healthcare or media - the Hispanic Job Seeker increases his or her chances of finding that perfect job.
Of course, these terms can also be combined with keywords that describe the specific skills you have. For example, if you have experience in Sales or Marketing, or perhaps you know certain computer programs such as Microsoft Excel or Word, then you should include those keywords in your job searches.
