Public Information Campaigns Make La Opinión readers aware that you care about issues of concern to them via public information campaigns. Such campaigns have proved to be highly effective when advertisers align their brands with issues that affect the community as a whole. Past campaigns that have been of tremendous value to our sponsors and readers alike have focused on access to healthcare, higher education, personal finance, immigration and the environment. Children’s Art Contest Now in its 21st year, La Opinión’s annual Children’s Art Contest is one of the most anticipated programs of the year. The concept is simple, but the rewards to the children and the sponsors are immeasurable. Each year thousands of children enter to win one of 100 art scholarships. Each scholarship allows children K-6 to attend a one-year program aimed at developing their artistic talents. If your community outreach efforts are aimed at children, families and/or education, then the Children’s Art Contest is a campaign you do not want to miss. Éxito Empresarial Together with our advertising partners we have created a tremendous resource to the community and small business owners through the Éxito Empresarial program. Now in its 4th year, the program has grown into one of our most request programs from entrepreneurs throughout the city. The Éxito Empresarial series are SBA-designed training courses offering basic instruction in marketing, accounting, financial planning, and business plan development for small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to build cornerstones of sound commercial management or strengthen existing business techniques. Our 80th Anniversary Celebration This year La Opinión celebrates 80 years serving Los Angeles. We will begin our celebratory campaign with a yearlong initiative complete with a number of unique advertising opportunities with events across the community.
