To have an event included in the 'En Su Comunidad/In Your Community' calendar, fill out all of the required information regarding the planned activity and the organizing institution. The purpose of the calendar is to deliver information regarding non-profit activities and events that may benefit our reading public. The Editorial staff reserves the right to approve or reject the publication of any event notice submitted for inclusion in the community calendar. All information must be true. The misuse of this calendar, especially with false or misleading information that may cause any damage or harm to third parties, organizations or institutions, will be prosecuted in accordance with the law. All information must be submitted accurately. Use upper and lower case letters where they correspond. Any errors in submitted information or grammatical mistakes in the name of the organization or institution or errors within the body copy are the sole responsibility of the individual submitting the information. Some events may require source confirmation by phone or by email. If La Opinión cannot contact the source for verification, the event may not be listed on the calendar. The organizations, institutions or individuals submitting a listing assumes sole responsibility for any changes or cancellations. In the event of a change or cancellation, click here or call (213) 896-2231. The printed version of the calendar will be published in La Opinión’s Vida y Estilo section every Wednesday. If there is a change in the listing, the online version of the Community Calendar can be readily changed prior to the date of an event. However, La Opinión assumes no responsibility for the print version of the calendar if changes are not received before 12 pm on the Thursday prior to publication. In any case, La Opinión will do its best to reflect requested changes when possible and without any compromises. Only events that take place in the state of California will be published in the print version of the community calendar. This community calendar is to be used solely for reference and can not be considered, under any circumstances, as official information on any event, institution or organization. La Opinión and La Opinión Digital assume no responsibility for information posted on the community calendar or for any consequences that may result due to the postponement or cancellation of an event or any changes whatsoever. La Opinión and La Opinión Digital are not associated with business groups or organizations listing an event.
