Fuentes for District 7
The former lawmaker stands out thanks to his knowledge and experience
There are four candidates for District 7 of the City Council, competing for the position left vacant by Councilmember Richard Alarcon. Among them, former Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes is the most suitable candidate to represent the area.
Fuentes has local government experience and knowledge, since he was deputy mayor under former Mayor James Hahn for the San Fernando Valley and chief of staff for former Councilmember Alex Padilla for several years, before being elected to the California Assembly in 2007.
In Sacramento, he had his ups and downs. On the one hand, he promoted controversial measures, like using CRA funds in neighborhoods not suffering from blight, which is required by law. On the other, he passed bills in Sacramento that contributed to creating jobs and in the Assembly has supported the well-being of undocumented immigrants.
This time, the former lawmaker is focusing on the provision of municipal services in a district that has not been receiving an adequate percentage of resources from the city.
Among the four candidates vying to represent the area, Fuentes stands out by far, because he has shown during his career that he has the qualifications to improve the condition of the district. All as long as he focuses all his attention on the well-being of his constituents.
